Rehabilitation of the east wing of the castle of Luttange and its so-called "medieval" room.

For the municipality of Luttange which owns it, the restoration operation of the Château de Luttange (13th - 20th century) has 3 objectives. The first objective is the restoration and enhancement of its historical heritage. Located in the heart of the village, the castle is the jewel and the pride. All communal life is organized around him. Seeing the East Wing fall into ruin was both a worry and a heartbreak. It was absolutely necessary to restore it and give it a function to make it live. This function is the second objective: Starting from what is already being done in the village and in the castle, namely the rental of rooms and the organisation of public (exhibitions, theatre festival, festivals, heritage days, etc.) and private (seminars, family celebrations, etc.) events, offering accommodation in situ appeared to be a necessary complement. It will be a group cottage, with the possibility of booking in the room on weekdays (phase 1 of the project). The complete reception offer will be improved thanks to the creation of a kitchen adjoining the large room of the castle and the adaptation of the premises to current requirements in terms of hygiene and safety (sanitary and access to people with reduced mobility). This phase 2 proved essential in order to achieve the third objective: develop the site of the castle of Luttange into a must for "nature and heritage" tourism on the territory of the Community of Communes of the Mosellan Arc.
