The project aims to develop new local composting capacities for urban agriculture. This development is part of a Social and Solidarity Economy model aimed at creating a local and sustainable food loop and relying on bicycle logistics. The supporting structure is Sikle - Les Composteurs de Strasbourg, a company in the form of a non-profit association. Three sub-objectives were prioritized: - Duplication of the agricultural co-composting model in cooperation with an urban market gardener, which can be reached by bicycle; - development of a composting service in an establishment, for those with a green area; - creation of a transfer platform that can be reached by bicycle, allowing organic matter to be massively stored and hygienized before delivery by truck for peri-urban farmers for composting at the end of the field.
