During 2017, the Agglomeration Community acquired the competence "access to health and care" with the objective of linking the territory into health homes that will promote the maintenance of practitioners installed on the territory and the establishment of new doctors. After the construction of the Ligny-en-Barrois health house in 2020, the community wishes to launch the construction operation of the Côte Sainte Catherine health house in Bar-le-Duc, a project developed in consultation with health professionals and the ARS. The goal is to be able to accommodate 15 health professionals. These different professionals will join a SISA, an interprofessional care society that will rent the building to the community. The establishment of a multi-professional health home in Bar-le-Duc and more particularly in the Côte Sainte Catherine (QPV) district will allow residents to benefit from a structured and quality health offer, which will reduce inequalities in access to health services. In a context of medical desertification in rural territories, the structuring of the offer will facilitate and coordinate the practice of doctors currently present in the territory and may also facilitate the installation of future doctors.
