The departmental council has been designated as the contracting authority for the four Natura 2000 sites: it thus wishes to ensure consistency with the departmental responsibility for preserving the environment, namely the Sensitive Natural Spaces policy. The objectives pursued at these four sites concern both faunal and floristic species and their habitats: European Beaver, Yellow-bellied Ringer, Slender-bodied Cordulia, Plumping, Chiroptera, Colchic meadows, sugar bushes and lawns, wetlands and forests and water quality. All the management tools proposed by Natura 2000 will be used to obtain the best conservation status for these species and their habitats.
