The Grand Est Region is characterised by a high unemployment rate among young people under the age of 26 who are not in employment, education or training and who are inactive or unemployed (including the long-term unemployed), whether or not they are registered as jobseekers. The Campus by Almea is an integral part of the programme to combat dropouts in favour of the professional integration of young people, which will allow the implementation of rapid and consistent action for the return to training of young dropouts while promoting access to a first job for young NEETs in the long term. This form of teaching also makes it possible to respond concretely to precariousness in a national context of great concern for students. Registration is free and young people receive on-site methodological, pedagogical and administrative support. The follow-up of the beneficiaries is individualized and everything is done during the year so that the school paths turn into success. Computer equipment is lent to registered students. A minimum attendance time in the study room of 16 hours per week is required. The first results, after two years of practice, are very satisfactory with validation rates of competitions, exams or year of study of more than 80%. The activities of the Campus by Almea make it possible to avoid situations of social exclusion as well as to fight against marginalization.
