In the second half of 2024, the Grand Est Region recorded an unemployment rate of 7.3%. (approximately +0.3% compared to 2023). This increase is part of a national trend where the unemployment rate reached 7.1% over the same period in France. This reflects a difficult economic situation for some local industries and especially a demand for employment that does not always correspond to the available supply. Even if this unemployment affects all populations, (especially young people under 25 12%, or seniors 29%) and all socio-professional categories, it affects more the least qualified publics (especially the PRIC publics). Indeed: - 57% of jobseekers (all categories combined) are part of the PIC public. - 58% of jobseekers in categories A, B and C (required to carry out research) belong to the PIC public. The ATOUT PIC project, is aimed primarily at these audiences and aims to fight against unemployment and promote sustainable economic growth in the Great East by responding to the challenges of the job market and the needs of businesses but also to the needs of job seekers in the territory.
