Implementation of the interim evaluation of the National Forest Park

The National Parks Act of 14 April 2006 requires a final assessment of the National Forest Park Charter. This law specifies that national parks must carry out an evaluation of their charter no more than 12 years after their adoption, within a total period of 15 years. In addition, the Charter of the National Forest Park provides for an interim evaluation in order to carry out a mid-term review. The institution wishes to conduct an interim evaluation in order to achieve a mid-term milestone and capitalize on initial feedback. The knowledge gained will facilitate the implementation of the final evaluation. The objective is to carry out an analysis of the progress of the 600 actions listed in the Charter, identifying what has been achieved and what remains to be done. The aim is to plan the next steps and to assess the degree of implementation of the actions under way. The evaluation will seek to assess the initial impacts of the Park by exploring what might have happened in its absence. This objective will be further developed in the final evaluation. It is a question of verifying whether the first impacts and results (if measurable) are in conformity with the objectives set by the Charter, and adjusting the orientations of the Park if necessary.
