The re-Lion Factory project, led by the company Werecy, consists in the deployment in the Bouches du Rhône department of an industrial unit for the reconditioning of lithium-ion batteries, resulting from soft mobility. The aim is to give these batteries a second life, which can be extended by several years, rather than treating them entirely as material recycling. Batteries thus produced from the reuse of used packs may be used, for example, for the operation of equipment such as autonomous street lighting.
