The Municipality of Beaufort aims to rehabilitate the Cayère site, its buildings with various uses (a sawmill, an attic, a forge, a bread oven and the farm) and to develop it, in order to make it a place of memory and sharing intended for the tourist clientele but also for the local population, especially children and young people. The old farm, reflecting the agropastoral life of the last century, will be reclassified as an interpretation center of Beaufortain which will be based on 3 spaces 1. The call from the mountain (focused on the inhabitants) 2. Shared mountain (agro-pastoralism, hydro-electricity, skiing) 3. The eternal mountain (current problems and avenues for reflection) where the following themes of heritage enhancement of the territory will be particularly developed: - the Beaufort and the Beaufort dairy cooperative - the hydroelectric heritage - the history of skiing and gliding as well as ancient agricultural practices.
