The chemical industry in West Brabant needs to become more sustainable. Existing fossil energy sources, emissions of waste into water and air and the use of unsustainable materials in the construction and maintenance of buildings, machinery and the use of raw materials call for new solutions. The EnergieCampus Breda is the public-private answer to this question. EnergieCampus Breda is an initiative of BouwSchool Breda, IW Brabant Zeeland, UWV and Wij Techniek, in close collaboration with the Regional Mobility Team West Brabant and the municipality of Breda. Through its partners, the EnergieCampus Breda is administratively connected to the regional business community in the field of Construction and Technology. EnergieCampus Breda is a physical location, where everyone can inform and orient themselves on work and education for the Energy Transition. In addition, EnergieCampus Breda also offers the training and guidance, both to the participant and to the employer. The EnergieCampus Breda offers a complete and integral range, from exploratory talks and orientation to a sustainable start with an employer. EnergieCampus Breda offers people an opportunity to contribute to the Energy Transition through their work. IW and BouwSchool Breda are experienced trainers and supervisors of students and side entrants in construction and technology. Together, they use their years of knowledge and experience under one roof for the EnergieCampus Breda. They do this in close cooperation with public and private parties. Direct partners are Wij Techniek, the R&A Fund for Technology and UWV and the RMT as public parties. This network finds and educates participants towards sustainable, future-oriented professions and skills for the energy transition. EnergieCampus Breda focuses on a number of core activities related to work, learning and development in the Energy Transition: Inform: EnergieCampus Breda provides information about the Energy Transition, the opportunities and opportunities in it and which activities, skills and/or professions belong to it, across all sectors and activities involved. Orientation: EnergieCampus Breda also offers the one-on-one opportunity to go deeper. At the location, interested parties can work on physical installations and sample projects. For example, a participant can experience for himself what these techniques and the work entail, and whether this suits him or her. Training: EnergieCampus Breda offers a wide range of education, courses and training courses for the energy transition, for all target groups. From full training courses for young people to courses for side-entry students or workers, who want to broaden their professional knowledge to the energy transition. EnergieCampus Breda connects to the input from its own constituency of companies and to current developments in the energy transition. Guidance: The guidance of a participant largely determines the success. EnergieCampus Breda therefore also offers guidance. She supports participants and employers, so that candidates can successfully enter work for the energy transition. Examples are teacher training or job carving. Anyone interested can visit the EnergieCampus. From school classes that are given a tour about the energy transition, to a side-instromer who ends up at the EnergieCampus via the RMT for training and then flows to a new employer in the energy transition. With these activities, EnergieCampus Breda provides an agile, resilient, skilled and up-to-date trained workforce in the energy transition.
