Pyro One and GTG Holding receive € 2.000.000 subsidy from the JTF for the Circular Carbon Black project: New raw materials from old car tires. The parties have developed a technology to recycle old car tyres with pyrolysis and to recover the substance carbon black and pyrolysis oil to bring back into the process as a raw material. In the project, the technology is scaled up to proceed to market introduction. The scale-up will reduce CO2 emissions, because old car tyres are not burned, and new raw materials. With the support of the JTF, the technology is scaled up, which further diversifies the industry in the port. In the long term, the project can be complementary to petrochemicals and make a circular contribution to the extraction of carbon black and oil. Furthermore, the project will create new jobs in the sustainable port. Want to know more? Please visit www.pyro-one.nl
