The project Energy Storage By Air (hereinafter ESBA) of HDM Maasluis and Greenport Pernis receives € 961,585,80 subsidy from the JTF for the development of an air pressure battery. The energy transition requires investments in energy infrastructure, including storage. The intended project contributes to this. The ESBA is an environmentally friendly alternative to chemical solid state batteries. The ESBA allows sustainable reprocessed energy to be stored and discharged, both for own use and for re-supply to the electricity grid. The electricity is used, among other things, for shore-side electricity for ships and for charging electric vehicles.
