The project – De-polymerisation of non-mechanically recyclable waste plastics into virgin plastics receives a €2,000,000 grant from the JTF for the realisation of a treatment process for polluting plastics. The aim of this project is the realization of a first pilot plant with a new de-polymerization technique for the Netherlands and a processing capacity of at least 65 tonnes per day and the subsequent operation. The non-mechanically recyclable plastics are now incinerated in the Netherlands and end up in landfills elsewhere in Europe. As a result, the project has a large CO2 gain.
