The development of the circular economy is lagging behind the targets set (50% less use of primary raw materials by 2050). Same in the IJmond region. For many SMEs, circular business operations are still unknown, the benefits of which are not immediately visible. There is a lack of knowledge and a structural economic incentive to scale up circular processes. By offering MBO education, training and setting up local residue hubs, IJmond Circular wants to get entrepreneurs involved in the raw materials transition. The project results in: - a residue hub at three locations in the IJmond; - 20% residual waste reduction for 100 entrepreneurs; - sustainable treatment of five selected residual flows; - provide 50 companies with tailor-made advice for reducing, reusing and recycling their residual flows; - 50 people per year who have followed a circular training programme to make business operations more sustainable (30 students and 20 employees in the context of LLO).
