The programme is working on the realisation of a vision for the development of a digital health ecosystem in the Northern Netherlands, with the aim of becoming a leading region in digital care by 2030. The vision addresses challenges in northern healthcare, driven by care demand, ageing population, reduced inflow into care training and staff loss. Local businesses are connected to the healthcare sector to accelerate innovation, add value to the region and create economic opportunities. Innovations in digital and hybrid care are essential for addressing welfare challenges, improving care accessibility and affordability, and alleviating workload in care. Collaboration between consortium partners is necessary to achieve set goals, emphasizing the unique position of the region through its problems, solution capacity, connectivity and technical infrastructure.
