In this project, the Mobility Company Merwede and platform provider Gaiyo are working together on smart mobility solutions to make sustainable urban mobility accessible to everyone in the newly built Merwede district. This car-free area development offers accessible mobility for all its future residents. In this project, walking, cycling, public transport and shared mobility are the most important pillars of the mobility concept. The integration of all these different forms of transport is not self-evident. MaaS service provider Gaiyo offers these modalities integrally in its app, so that planning, booking and paying for mobility is as comfortable as possible. For the Merwede district, the goal is to permanently stimulate behavioural change, by giving residents easy access to all these forms of mobility. Public mobility as a service, shared with others and accessible to everyone, is becoming more and more a reality.
