Given current developments in the health sector, there is a growing imbalance between the demand for care and the available capacity. This gap results in a growing number of patients who do not receive the necessary care and support when it is needed, as well as an increase in the workload among healthcare professionals. Innovations in MedTech are crucial to meet societal challenges. In order to accelerate the realization of these innovations, it is of great importance that a good ecosystem is available in which the developing companies can flourish. The Province of Zuid-Holland has many innovative SMEs within the MedTech sector, but it is challenging to develop innovations into a concrete market-ready product. Low-threshold access to external advice, housing and shared facilities to realize pilots is crucial in this. Through this project, Rotterdam Square wants to give substance to this.
