Planet B.io strives for more sustainable solutions for material and food industries by creating a thriving ecosystem for biotechnology companies, on BCD and beyond. New biotech companies typically experience barriers during the development and scaling up of sustainable technologies. The KvW-III project aims to lower these thresholds, creating a growing ecosystem and giving the biotech and foodtech sector an economic boost, both within and outside ZuidHolland. The KvW-III Voucher Scheme facilitates business operations in ZH and stimulates early innovation development. Consultancy vouchers accelerate technical development and collaborations. Commercially and socially, scaling up innovative products and processes is crucial but technically challenging and costly. The pilot voucher provides financial support to SMEs, making commercialisation feasible. KvW-III vouchers aim to lower the threshold for both biotech companies and the supporting ecosystem.
