Climate change, with periods of long drought interspersed with abundant downpours, makes managing urban sewage networks increasingly challenging. Understanding the actual water management is essential for good water management of the drainage water. The aim of this project is to develop a complete measurement and monitoring system for the sewage system that enables active monitoring and management of sewage, both waste water and clean (rain) water sewers. The data from this is interpreted and made transparent in a smart way, aimed at different target groups. With this system, the sewer operators will gain real-time insight into the problems and causes and can therefore take immediate measures. Ultimately, this contributes to limiting the calamities and damage caused by drought or flooding. In addition, it can greatly contribute to reducing the maintenance and management costs of the sewage system, pumps and mills.
