Care is under pressure. With a rising demand for care and a pressing shortage in the labour market, there is no doubt that change is needed in order to continue to cope with the work. Technology offers a solution here. Robotics makes it possible to support, facilitate or take over the work as a whole. In peripheral tasks, by moving a robot goods from one place to another. Or at the heart of healthcare, by using a robot to wash and care for patients and clients. In this project, high-tech and healthcare will work intensively together to show the impact robotics can have on the daily work of healthcare staff and patients. The robotics applications in ZorgBots show how technology can contribute to more personal care: on the one hand by taking care of non-patient-related tasks, on the other hand by giving the client more freedom. The development projects are set as a leading example to significantly accelerate the adoption of robotics in healthcare.
