Patch Foundry There is currently a strong development towards all kinds of wearables that can measure people’s health. These wearables are often patches (stickers) that are stuck to the body. These patches measure all kinds of important health parameters, for example of the heart. Thanks to the data from these patches, it is possible to detect in time whether there are problems with someone's health. It is expected that these types of devices will become an essential part of the care cycle: from prevention to diagnosis to the treatment of diseases. One of the major challenges of these patches is on the production side. This involves a large number of devices that have to be produced in an efficient way. Currently there are no existing production facilities in Europe. The patch foundry project involves setting up a production line for medical patches in Brabant and testing this production line with a number of concrete and relevant end user cases.share on FacebookTwitterLinkedinEmailreport an issue
