SCOPAC

The SCOPAC project is exploring the possibility of smartly linking demand and (waste) supply from two different value chains – packaging and transport – in order to give materials a longer (new) lifespan and thus build a more circular economy. This project aims to develop recycled thermoplastic composite materials based on packaging and composite waste. The project primarily contributes to the reuse of materials and the setting up of suitable circular solutions for the partners in the south of the Netherlands. It prevents packaging and composite waste and revalues low-quality (packaging) waste for new applications without high energy consumption or the use of many chemicals such as in other recycling technologies. A successful technical development and demonstration of the product applications offers the possibility to set up more circular supply chains.
