OPTIMESTI

The theme of this project is to improve and reduce the use of animal fertilizers by means of precision fertilization. This topic is part of the new objectives of the European Green Deal and the Farm to Fork strategy. The Farm to Fork strategy aims to achieve a sustainable food system. Fertilizers are indispensable tools for growers. We want to improve the current way of application so that this is also in line with the Green Deal. This can be achieved by very precise mapping of how much manure and what chemical content this manure has during administration. Mainly the N (nitrogen), P (phosphorus) and K (calium) levels are important information to be able to grow optimally different crops afterwards. The result is that with the help of sensors it is possible to fertilize very precisely during the application of animal manure. Precision fertilization is already possible with fertilizer, but with the help of the techniques developed in this project, now also with animal manure
