Three innovative companies from the Eindhoven region, InnoFlex, Spectrik and VTEC, are jointly developing a high-tech solution to reduce ammonia emissions in livestock farming by 90% to 99% via the innovative AMBER system. The system has a photocatalytic film that breaks down the ammonia into non-reactive nitrogen, oxygen and water. This is done in the stable compartments, which greatly increases air quality and animal welfare. By linking a real-time measurement of ammonia to the removal of ammonia from the air, the air purification can be carried out in the best possible way. The system is cheaper and much cleaner in operation than air scrubbers.
