Under the leadership of Kameleon Solar, the project team has embarked on the integral path to develop the entire chain for renewed 100% circular, safe, reliable and multi-colour façade-PV modules and systems. Circular by eliminating and replacing the plastic encapsulants (80% less energy consumption during this production step) by edge sealing (Biosphere Solar), with much lower process times and allowing the product to be completely disassembled and reused after its lifespan. The calculated LCA indicates a reduction of 40% CO2. In addition, users are increasingly demanding aesthetically more attractive solutions such as coloured patterns on PV panels for more visual integration with the building envelope.
