A game changing new system configuration will be developed in which the cell culture part of the solution can be placed in a modular setup in existing incubators. The cell culture section will be connected by means of a controlled throughput to an external unit that will provide the necessary control of fluid renewal. Based on already available software for data processing in the cloud, the project will develop additional software to remotely set the cell culture parameters, perform visual inspection and collect and analyse culture recipes across multiple studies using AI. In addition to extensive user testing, the project also includes the compliance tests required for CE certification of the system. Upon successful completion of the Ovation project, an instrument will become available that will allow laboratories to revolutionize the quality and capacity of their 3D cell culture processes.
