Reduction nitrogen emissions through dietary means Within this project, the consortium is developing a toolbox of diet strategies for dairy cows with the aim of achieving a reduction in nitrogen emissions between 10% and 20% compared to the emissions of cows managed according to current feeding practices. The consortium consists of Nutreco and Nutrivice. Existing solutions are often based only on increasing milk protein in the ration, so the effects on nitrogen utilization efficiency are minimal. The proposed toolbox aims to reduce protein supply through ration without loss in milk production, which is truly innovative. In addition, the combination of four measures maximises efficiency and flexibility for farmers. The activities are aimed at taking scientific innovations to the next level, by generating practical evidence from commercial dairy farms. This is essential for creating acceptance among farmers and thus creating market share.share on FacebookTwitterLinkedinEmailreport an issue
