Ineffective joints, muscle and tendon rehabilitation and/or the lack of measurable progress in non-invasive interventions may eventually lead to invasive, or even surgical, interventions for a patient. Research shows that rehabilitation for tendon complaints is often ineffective because the tendon is not optimally loaded. This OPZuid project aims to develop an advanced, personalised rehabilitation system for muscle and tendon rehabilitation, integrating two separate innovative technologies. The rehabilitation system to be developed follows various parameters in the muscle to determine the relationship between the strength of the strained tendon and the muscle condition. The developed rehabilitation system will be integrated into a user-friendly smartphone app and software, allowing patients to perform rehabilitation exercises at home, with real-time feedback and guidance.
