Laser weed control in outdoor horticulture The aim of the project is to import and further develop a first version of a machine with weed control using laser by making it suitable for the Dutch and European market. In addition, this machine will be equipped with cameras with which diseases and pests can be detected so that place-specific control is possible and therefore the use of resources is reduced. Because of this application, it is possible not to use chemistry for weed control in various crops. The reduction in the use of chemicals reduces leaching to groundwater and surface water and benefits the environment. The aim is also to use additional cameras to make it possible to predict harvests on the basis of which, in consultation with retailers, it is possible to respond better to the market in order to minimise food waste.share on FacebookTwitterLinkedinEmailreport an issue
