The Netshield project focuses on developing an innovative hybrid battery technology that takes milliseconds to respond, essential for maintaining grid stability amid growing grid congestion and renewable energy sources. Within 3 years, the project aims to develop and validate a Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) at TRL7 level, with specifications such as a capacity of at least 1 MW within 20 milliseconds, an energy density of at least 800 Wh/L and at least 10 years of service life, while being at least 90% recyclable. This will absorb peaks in energy demand and deal efficiently with renewable energy sources. Netshield's hybrid battery technology provides fast charging and discharging, making it a promising solution for grid stability and peak collection, resulting in significant CO2 reduction and resource savings.
