The aim of this project is to further develop the BluElephant. The BluElephant is a stand-alone installation that purifies wastewater using membrane technology. In many areas of the world it is not self-evident that there is clean water or that there is a connection to the sewer. The problem is that there are no affordable separate installations that can also treat household waste water on a large scale. The BluElephant is suitable for purifying waste water in a cheap way and on a relatively large scale so that it can be used as rinsing water, irrigation and even for drinking water production. The BluElephant is developed to have a low cost and must be easy to use (plug & play). Thanks to the internal solar panels, the BluElephant can provide its own energy. The BluElephant also has a major social impact, it provides a solution to the shortage of water, a healthy living environment, food security.
