Validate and implement a clinically tested A-EMDR application for postnatal trauma. With this project, the consortium develops and validates a new treatment method for post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) in women after childbirth. The usual treatment consists of psychotherapy of which one of the treatment methods is the so-called Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). The treatment is effective but costly and difficult to combine with young motherhood. Due to limited availability, there are also long waiting times. The consortium wants to solve this with a new digital eHealth application called the Autonomous Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (abbreviated: A-EMDR). The application is still intensively tested for validation in a hospital setting. Ultimately, this should lead to a cheaper, faster and more easily applicable EMDR treatment of PTSD.share on FacebookTwitterLinkedinEmailreport an issue
