In this project, the Genus Care system is used in the care of mentally disabled people and in mental health care. The Genus Care system consists of a photo frame with sensors, an app and a website for healthcare institutions. The system is intended for people who cannot speak or read properly, or who have difficulty with a tablet or smartphone. With this project, the system is tested and improved in real healthcare institutions in the East of the Netherlands. The goal is to offer clients a digital day program with the help of pictures, so that they know what to do and when the healthcare employee will come. In addition, the system can warn healthcare workers early if the clients are tense, so that they can prevent something from going wrong. In this way, clients become more independent and care workers are relieved.
