EcoCapture The partners in the ‘EcoCapture’ project have developed a unique technique for capturing CO2 from the atmosphere. With this project, this CO2 capture technology is further developed and tested in an experimental setup. CO2 is a greenhouse gas that contributes to global warming. One of the ways to reduce CO2 emissions is to capture CO2 directly from the atmosphere. This is called Direct Air Capture technique. The captured CO2 can be stored in the soil, used as a raw material for the production of fuels, for example, or used for fertilization where extra CO2 is added in a greenhouse. However, the large-scale roll-out of the Direct Air Capture technology still faces technical challenges in terms of energy use and costs. The ultimate goal is to achieve low operating costs so that the model is economically feasible.share on FacebookTwitterLinkedinEmailreport an issue
