Right Hearing The Cocktail Party Problem stands for situations where it is difficult for people with hearing loss to distinguish speech from background noise. Current hearing aids amplify unwanted noises, which often leads to social isolation. With this project, the companies Beephonix, Absolute Audio Labs and the Radboud University Medical Centre are developing a hearing system that minimizes background noise and amplifies speech. The goal is to create a portable microphone with a directivity index of 9.9 dB. The social impact of this project is high, as it improves the speech intelligibility of the hearing impaired and thus promotes social interaction and inclusion. With this, the Right Hearing project promises a technical breakthrough and a significant improvement in the quality of life of the hearing impaired.share on FacebookTwitterLinkedinEmailreport an issue
