In this project, the consortium, consisting of Royal Auping, Saxion University of Applied Sciences, Spinning Jenny, CuRe Technology and Textile4Ever, is taking the next step in the field of circular materials and product development. Within a previous ERDF project, a successful step was taken in the mechanical production of circular mattresses. The goal is to expand this circular approach to include box springs and bed models. Innovative solutions are devised for circular replacements of materials such as sheet material, wood, textiles and yarns. It also focuses on increasing circularity on the purchase side and reducing waste through tailor-made ergonomic advice and an automated return system. This project significantly reduces the environmental impact of the entire textile and furniture industry.
