Microchips are now indispensable in many applications: from everyday devices to critical infrastructures such as healthcare, energy, logistics and telecom. Due to the rapidly growing demand, scaling up to larger production numbers of these chips is essential. A reliable and accurate assembly and inspection process ensures high-quality medical end products, but due to high costs no option for smaller organizations. Due to external dependence and limited scalability, the efficient production and availability of medical products is significantly hindered. Project partners Medspray, ProfTech and Saxion University of Applied Sciences aim to make a significant contribution to solving this problem. They are developing a pioneering process for assembly and quality control from nozzle chips to medical devices, using a new vision control system and AI.
