The purpose of the Project is to bring to planning stage a minimum of 60km and up to 79km of universally accessible “rollable” new cycle trails across the Grantee’s lands (the “Project Property”) to significantly improve the tourism offering in the Midlands as a regenerative tourism destination supporting the creation of new jobs in ancillary related activities e.g. bike hire, hospitality services, visitor attractions and activities. The Development Phase consists of a series of preparation measures covering: Environmental assessments and screenings, Technical feasibility studies, Detailed trail audits and design, Interpretation and wayfinding strategies, and Retraining and skills development for former peat workers
