Drug development is a risky, long, complicated and costly process as disease and patient profiles become more complex. This requires evidence-based research and development, which requires access to health data for both companies and researchers in life science. The project develops an innovation environment in the form of a data lake that makes health data from healthcare (HoS) available. The construction of this environment takes place in HoS, but the effect of the project arises in the business sector where innovation is primarily driven by SMEs. The project will manage the legal and technical interface after which the environment can be established and made available through a developed business model. The availability of health data will improve companies' ability to innovate as it enables analysis of current patient distribution in Skåne and complex relationships. Overall, the project strengthens collaboration between HoS and industry and creates better conditions for research and innovation.
