The project aims to strengthen capacity in ÖMS' innovation ecosystem around 3DAM by contributing to the establishment of a test bed. Different competencies collaborate in the project, which is carried out in a uniquely broad constellation between Innovative Material Arena (IMA), Linköping University and a total of 7 companies with cutting-edge expertise in 3DAM. The project develops a process for company-driven pilots, which is tested on a case-by-case basis. The test bed contributes to increasing companies' ability to use 3DAM, which enables: Achieve a more robust value chain and reduce Sweden's dependence on foreign countries More efficient use of resources Carry out cost-effective repairs Manufacture a more advanced design for e.g. easier assembly and fewer components The broad constellation of established actors creates the conditions for achieving the long-term effects linked to Smart Industry and a Smarter Europe. The project also contributes to the UN's sustainability linked to the environment, gender equality, equality and sustainable production.
