FINAST

The FINAST project contributes to the green transition and a carbon-neutral steel industry by educating the specialists of the future. This is done in collaboration between Luleå University of Technology and Swerim together with the Norrbotten steel industry. The research has 9-10 doctoral students working in the following areas: Research for future integrated value chains to promote circularity - Research for future integrated circular value chains for fossil-free steel All results of the FINAST project will be publicly disseminated. The most important channel will be scientific journals where Luleå University of Technology has agreements with publishers regarding so-called open access so that the publications can be read free of charge by all interested. Other channels will be more popular science information on the project's website as well as on public seminars. The results will reach out to both companies in the region in the midst of the transition and be used by the steel industry globally.
