Circular development hub

Deteriorating climate and environment are the biggest challenges facing humanity. Emissions from fossil fuels and the use of virgin resources together with food waste must be reduced in order to achieve the goals of Agenda 2030. The food industry accounts for a large part of this footprint and works to reduce its impact on climate and the environment in various ways. One way to address the challenges is to transition to a circular sustainable food chain. This transition is difficult for an individual company as the very essence of a circular economy is based on cooperation in the value chain and surrounding ecosystems. The goal of this project is to develop the capacity of small and medium-sized enterprises in Skåne to implement the transition to a circular sustainable food system. This is done by shaping new collaborations between actors in the value chain and in the food ecosystem that enable the innovations at both company and system level needed to shape circular sustainable food chains.
