The project Circular Tourism Industry will give small and medium-sized enterprises in the tourism industry and small-scale food production the opportunity to switch to more circular business models, by finding out what challenges and opportunities there are in these industries to work with these. A societal challenge is to get the linear economic system to become circular instead. It is clear that efforts are needed to support the business sector in this transition, and especially those parts of the business sector that have not previously received so much attention in the matter, such as the service sector. The pre-study wants to seek answers to several aspects of the challenge, and identify opportunities, challenges and obstacles for companies to work circularly. Linked to this is also to investigate what support the promotion system and public actors need to provide in order to support the transition in the best way.
