The project will provide companies and households with access to fast broadband and is an important part of Örnsköldsvik's broadband strategy adopted by the Municipal Executive Board in June 2022 and is valid for the period 2022-2030. The development of broadband is a prerequisite for future digital services, there is agreement, both at national, regional and local level. Access to high-quality and high-speed broadband is a prerequisite for efficient management, entrepreneurship, employment and, not least, for simplifying everyday life for citizens and businesses. An important basis for the work is to reach the national targets for 2023, where all of Sweden should have access to stable mobile services of good quality, and 2025, where 98% of all Sweden should have access to fast broadband, but also to reach the European targets that extend until 2030. An important success factor will be collaboration between different parties.
