Green Transition North - smart energy systems (GTN-SE) carries out forward-looking activities in smart energy systems with the local and regional business community in the form of SMEs, large companies, business promotion actors and LTU divided into 7 activities. Through the development of new technology needed for smart energy systems, the activities focus on, among other things, increasing knowledge about electric drive systems, optimizing energy storage, mobile battery storage, methods for increased flexibility in the electricity grid, biohydrogen production and utilization of surplus energy. The idea is to make maximum use of the large-scale investments that are now being made within the green transition in Upper Norrland. The project focuses on research, development and innovation among the region's SMEs to strengthen competitiveness and relevance in the ongoing green industrial and societal transformation. GTN-SE brings together key stakeholders to create business, products and services with maximum energy efficiency.
