Strategies for the development of sustainable digital transformation capacity in SMEs (STRIM)

Digitalisation provides opportunities for increased competitiveness and industry diversification for companies and regions with a capacity for digital transformation. Operators in the business promotion system have a key role to play here. The STRIM project strengthens business promoters' ability to help small and medium-sized enterprises act as learning organisations with the capacity to develop strategies for sustainable digital transformation. A science-based process model that visualizes the process stages of the digital transformation process and how sustainability aspects can be taken into account in these, tested and further developed in collaboration with the target groups. In this way, they develop the ability to use the process model as a practical tool for analysing opportunities and challenges in the digital transformation process, as well as how digital transformation can be supported and implemented. STRIM thereby strengthens the regional business sector's ability to utilise digitalisation for increased competitiveness and diversification.
