The ongoing electrification of society leads to an increased need for flexibility in the power system and a growing market for flexible consumption and system services. The project aims to spread knowledge among small and medium-sized companies and the public sector about the need for future governance and how economic incentives optimally utilized can provide major economic benefits for companies. In order to achieve increased flexibility in electricity consumption, different types of activities are investigated to analyze how these activities with existing installations, and possible new investments, can be used to achieve increased controllability. The project focuses on the theory of change that increased controllability can provide companies with reduced costs for purchased electricity and grid fees, as well as revenue from various forms of system services. The project aims to show how different activities can optimize consumption, energy storage and production and to carry out pilot projects in cooperation with local companies.
