In 2019, the construction and real estate sector accounted for around 34 % of Sweden’s total energy consumption and 21 % of Sweden’s greenhouse gas emissions. The heating and construction process accounts for the majority of these. The aim of the Constr:ACT project is to respond to the challenge of reducing energy use and greenhouse gas emissions among actors in the construction and real estate sector with the long-term goal of being climate neutral by 2045. The target group is small and medium-sized companies throughout the value chain for the construction and real estate sector in Jönköping County. Through awareness-raising activities such as seminars, mapping of good examples, study visits and will increase the level of knowledge within the target group on how they can effectively work to reduce their energy use and greenhouse gas emissions. Efforts to promote innovation and collaboration, such as workshops with various actors in the industry and testing and evaluating new tools and working methods, will increase the industry's ability to innovate and act in joint ventures.
