An overall challenge for the project is the transition between different modes of transport (such as train, bus, bicycle and walking). By linking transport modes together, a whole is created with a more long-term sustainable transport system that is accessible, efficient and gender-equal. Boden municipality has designed a new industrial area that is part of the green social transition and which will include H2 Green Steel's steelworks for the production of fossil-free steel. An infrastructure corridor needs to be created that consists of road and rail and that cuts through an established string system for the mobile outdoor life that has Gruvberget as its target point. The project creates safe public transport and bus stops, charging stations for electric bicycles and equal cycle paths to the new industrial area for commuting staff, external visitors and municipal residents. It also opens up access to the important recreation area Gruvberget with the help of bridges and road crossings.
