The project will strengthen the innovation capacity of SMEs in Halland by offering tools for how AI, service innovation and data-driven innovation can contribute to new competitive and sustainable offers. The business sector in Halland consists mainly of SMEs from a wide range of industries often with a low degree of research and innovation capacity. The work packages aim to increase companies' digital maturity and contribute to higher levels of innovation and more competitive companies. The project applies a human-centric design approach with the perspective that AI will strengthen human capabilities, rather than fully automate workflows. By connecting with experts and offering analysis and guidance, companies gain a better understanding of what AI and increased digitalisation can open up for opportunity. The companies are also given the opportunity to identify, concretize and prototype value-creating AI solutions with a human-centered design focus in collaboration with researchers and test environments at Halmstad University.
